Your data and deleting your account

Your account page holds both of these: a copy of everything the game knows about you, and the button that deletes it.

You get a JSON file, derby-domination-data.json, with your profile, your league memberships, the comments you wrote, your notification settings, and your activity history. No waiting, no email: the file downloads there and then.

The moderation and report trail is deliberately left out. It is not your own data, and it would show who reported what. If a comment of yours was hidden, the file does tell you that it was hidden, when, and the reason given. It does not tell you which commissioner did it.

Deleting your account

You confirm by typing your own email address. The deletion then happens straight away. There is no grace period, no undo, and nobody can restore the account afterwards, so read the rest of this first.

Your profile, your sign-in sessions, your notifications, and your notification settings are all removed.

What happens to your league

The league carries on without you. Any club you manage is handed to a bot and keeps playing its fixtures, and your membership of the league is removed.

• If you were a commissioner, the longest-serving remaining active member is promoted in your place.
• If nobody else is left, the league keeps running on bots and is flagged for a platform admin to look at.
• Leagues you created keep going. They just lose the link back to you as their creator.

What is kept

Your comments keep their text, and the author becomes Deleted manager, so old threads still make sense to the people in them. If you don't want a comment kept, delete it before you delete your account.

Your activity history stays but is unlinked from you. The moderation record is also kept, pseudonymized, under legitimate interest: if a report about one of your comments is still open, the comment text stays in that report so an admin can judge it, but your user id is stripped out of it.

If your account is suspended

A suspended account can still download its data and still delete itself. Neither is ever refused.
